Over the course of his career, Robert has developed into a versatile, prolific, and cerebral writer with an ability to understand and appeal to the target audience. Having a diverse writing background - which includes proposal and grant writing, legal writing, news articles, and public relations - has cultivated Robert's creativity and given him experience and success in numerous writing fields.
Robert enjoys spending time with his lovely fiancee, exercising (especially pumping iron, as Arnold Schwarzenegger says), playing with his two standard poodles and Yorkshire terrier, watching football (Atlanta Falcons and Auburn Tigers), crafting a perfect lawn, painting with oil paints, and watching classic films and film noir along with guilty pleasures such as Con Air, The Rock, and anything 1980s.
Robert has considerable experience with scaling nonprofits by designing and composing grant proposals. He has worked with legal nonprofits, school systems, family service organizations, domestic violence providers, and homeless shelters.
After completing law school, Robert's career has been primarily spent within the legal field, specifically in the judicial system and law firms. While in the legal field, he has written grant proposals, conducted legal research and writing, and collaborated with university partners to engage in academic research projects involving legal issues.
Robert has considerable experience composing grant proposals in response to federal RFPs. His grant applications have been awarded funding from the DOJ, DOL, DOE, and Homeland Security, among many other federal departments.
Over the course of his career, Robert has written a large number of grant proposals for nonprofits and government entities that focus on enhancing existing services, creating new services, and scaling organizations. Robert has secured over $15 million for the agencies that he has represented and submitted proposals to small and large foundations, local and state governments, and many departments of the federal government including the Departments of Labor, Justice, Energy, Homeland Security, Transportation, Agriculture, and Education.
