Nihan worked as a copywriter for major brands in all industries. She is also an AWAI (American Writers and Artists Institute) certified copywriter (completed the AWAI Method course as well as their B2B course on Writing Case Studies). Case studies are essentially short stories based on the hero's journey, which is part of Nihan's expertise. She worked as a screenwriter for more than a decade and specialized in story structures. As a freelancer, she mainly writes about storytelling and screenwriting. She has a blog series.

Nihan studied City and Regional Planning at Middle East Technical University, Faculty of Architecture, Ankara Turkey. She worked as an intern at city planning offices during her education. Right after graduation, she moved to Istanbul and left city planning. She worked as a writer her whole life, first as an advertising copywriter, and later as a screenwriter.
She wrote copy for automotive brands Volkswagen (1 year) and Toyota (8 months) in Turkey. She translated and wrote TV commercials, radio spots, leaflets, brochures, newspaper and magazine ads, and all kinds of communication including invites for events and product catalogs for these brands. One of the Volkswagen campaigns she contributed to won an EPICA advertising award in 1997.
In her advertising years, Nihan wrote copy for many cosmetics brands including Johnson & Johnson, Clear, Fa deodorants, Taft hair products, and Nivea.
When working as an advertising copywriter, Nihan wrote a number of campaigns and standalone newspaper and magazine ads for IT giants such as Digital and Compaq, and Turkish company Vestel which produces all kinds of tech products.
Nihan wrote a wide variety of ads for McDonald's and Pepsico (Doritos, Ruffles, Cheetos) brands when she worked at DDB Turkey. Later she personally launched an English website where she published stories and recipes for Turkish vegan dishes (no longer exists). However, she also has an Instagram account for the same brand where she occasionally shares vegan food photography.
Nihan is a contributor to a humor publication.
Nihan occasionally writes English copy for a medical tourism agency in Turkey. She wrote two web pages and a few video transcripts. She also helps the agency as a consultant for their general marketing strategy.
Nihan has been writing blog posts and articles on medium.com since 2020. She has written a variety of personal essays and blog posts on topics like storytelling, screenwriting, creativity, marketing, parenting, and personal development, as well as a few stories on feminism and injustice.
Nihan worked as a copywriter in advertising agencies for many years. In fact, she doesn't remember the number of projects she completed. She wrote copy for major international brands such as Volkswagen, Toyota, McDonald's, Compaq (yes, this was in the 1990s), Johnson and Johnson, Nivea, Philips, and many more. She started as a junior copywriter in DDB Turkey and worked at other international networks such as Euro RSCG, Dentsu, and D'Arcy. In her final advertising role in D'Arcy, she was a creative group leader for two P&G brands. One of the Volkswagen campaigns she contributed to won an EPICA advertising award in 1997.
