As an Automotive Fixed Operations Manager, David wrote daily status reports, team communications, customer emails and marketing initiatives.
David also wrote a daily blog/journal published on trailjournals.com that gave his unique perspective on the day-to-day life of a hiker. DJ enjoyed bringing his experiences to life on the page and interacting with his many followers.
David enjoys writing for its creative nature and for bringing stories to life. He wrote a daily journal of his 2021 Appalachian Trail hike and bringing the trail to life for the many people reading along with his journey.
David loves the outdoors and can usually be found hiking in the mountains or biking along the many beautiful trails in East Tennessee.
David spent 25 years in the retail Automotive field, working his way to a Fixed Operations Director post. In his role, David led a team of 45 employees and assisted in their professional development. David also led the customer service team that assisted the clientele in solving their transportation needs.
In his role, David excelled at written and verbal communication with customers, vendors, team members, and company executives.
David wrote a daily journal/blog post during the six months he was hiking the Appalachian Trail.
David used the blog to offer his perspectives on the trail, hiking culture, people he met and his general impressions of trial life.
