Tim's best work involves condensing complex topics into simpler, logical units that others can easily consume. This skill also helps him produce clean copy by focusing on the core purpose of each writing task.

Tim is an avid reader and writer with interests in marketing, history, and the sports world. He often combines the three in his personal writing.
Tim runs in community 5K or 10K races most weekends. finishing well behind the race leaders and marginally ahead of the last-place finisher.
Family, food, and fun take up the rest of his time.
Tim spent twenty years in sales and management roles with a Tier 1 marketing research supplier and was the primary author of proposals awarded more than $100 million in business. Specializing in customer experience in the light and heavy vehicle worlds, Tim deeply understands retail sales, service, and parts experience across various product categories.
Tim brings a lifelong interest in sports and the perspective of a college athlete and coach. He also views the sports world through the eyes of a parent and fan. Knowledgeable of many sports, he has published several books and a blog on the history of gridiron football. A dedicated but plodding runner, Tim brings a passion for sports' past, present, and future.
After Tim spent twenty years in sales and management roles with a marketing research supplier in the automotive world, he entered the publishing industry, working with a luxury lifestyle publication to craft messaging for a B2C audience. Tim brings a flexible writing style with a voice that adapts to the needs of each client and their target customer.
Tim publishes 20 stories monthly on Substack about his interest in gridiron football history. Each story includes relevant images to illustrate the concepts covered.
Tim believes we often underestimate the impact of the images and illustrations in blog posts. The planning, selecting, or creating appropriate visuals can be as important as the story for attracting attention and communicating information.
Tim has been the primary writer on business proposals that generate more than $100 million in revenues. Like any writing task, the key is correctly identifying the story to be told, the evidence to support the story, and then structuring and telling the story concisely.
Of course, the proposal elements must fit within the constraints of the current RFP/RFQ requirement. At the same time, Tim believes each proposal provides an opportunity to prepare or hone content for future opportunities.
Tim has researched and published four nonfiction books. His sweet spot is historical accounts, including biographies, in the post-Civil War United States, though other topics may be appropriate.
Given access to suitable information sources, Tim views his job as uncovering and arranging the story while entertaining the reader.
He has also edited multiple books in the sports history genre.
