Kyra is capable of tackling projects with vastly different demands and audiences. Her writing experience and expertise is as diverse as it's audience has been. Kyra's education and earliest publications were in poetry and creative prose (both fiction and non-fiction). She has experience in music, food, culture, and art journalism. Her technical experience includes writing style guides, instruction manuals, and online guides to difficult and detailed immigration processes. This work is targeted both at professionals and students whose native language is not English. Kyra feels equally as confident in translating dense technical concepts into clear prose as she does crafting engaging stories and slicing metaphors.
In her free time, Kyra is slowly writing a treatise on the joys of making her own soup stock. She likes to keep and plan an extensive garden of food crops. Often, she and her husband cook with what she grows. Together, they also do crossword puzzles, play board games, and rock climb (both outdoors and in). Kyra is insatiably curious and an avid devourer of books, podcasts, and video essays. If she never makes it onto Jeopardy!, no one will be able to say it was for lack of trying.
