Alek feels at home with "under-the-hood" writing projects. This includes tailoring articles to a specific niche, doing extensive world-building, and planning out longer works through detailed outlines. When it comes to the minutia, Alek is delighted to finely-comb through tasks, and may even find some small details others have missed.
Alek loves music, especially New Wave, Japanese & Korean Pop, Ambient Electronic, and Easy Listening. This medium is the perfect companion for his writing, helping with mono-tasking and getting larger projects done easier.
During off-time, Alek likes video games including RPGs, Puzzle, and anything that allows him to decorate or design. He also finds joy in cleaning, organizing, and tidying.
Mobile computing is another passion of his. He likes maximizing the utility of phones & tablets, and providing tips based on his discoveries from tweaking configurations.

The training documentation at New York Life Insurance Company was created by Alek, in the form of a technical writing template. This experience carried over to rebuilding MetLife's internal documentation during a department consolidation. The revisions were successful in streamlining onboarding.
Alek loves mobile devices and mobile computing; his first experience with using one was with an Apple Newton. Since then, Alek has been enraptured in ways to maximize utility with mobile devices.
One of Alek's hobbies is studying the various settings on devices, and see what configuration changes can be made to enhance workflows.
