Samantha's mission as a writer is to utilize her strong sense of storytelling to create a safe space and pocket of joy for those who need it most, through her desire to celebrate individuality, growth, and learning. She thrives off of collaboration and appreciates the process of developing someone's vision of a story. Samantha is always open to learn new forms of her craft, and beyond it. Communicating information or a story in the most effective way with a personal touch is Samantha's strong suit.
For as long as she can remember, Samantha has always been writing. When she was in high school, she took an interest in journalism, mainly writing reviews for concerts or albums. But when the time came to commit to a disciplined study, she chose creative writing as she longed to write more freely.
At Columbia College Chicago, Samantha held an internship position for events and programming which had piqued her interest in developing the student experience through her ability to communicate information effectively within different demographics. During her time at Columbia College, Samantha wrote a comic book script and collaborated with an illustrator to create the visual comic. Having her story come to life with the help of an incredibly talented artist and peer, inspires her to keep pushing herself out of her comfort zone.
Samantha is currently working at evolving her digital art skills, as drawing has always been an interest of hers.
Samantha enjoyed working as a student to improve student experience at her alma mater. Though the COVID-19 Pandemic interfered in this process, she was able to connect to her peers virtually through her work on the Student Center website, as well as potential external clients.
Samantha began market research in the Summer of 2020 during her internship with her alma mater, and continued all the way through the end of her internship. The research process became one of her favorite aspects of Marketing, as she was interested in the possibilities to efficiently communicate a collaborator/client's vision.
Samantha recently began as copywriter and is so far enjoying the transitional period of learning the most effective form in communicating the desired information for clientele. Samantha enjoys the research and process behind industries she was relatively unfamiliar with.
Samantha has recently started working as a medical copy freelancer, but has already found the experience to be exciting and educational. She looks forward to establishing herself further with potential clientele, as well as providing physicians practices' and their patients practical information.
