Heather has written using different types of composition, including comparing and contrasting, defining and descriptive. Articles and stories written have included those for blogs, product websites, feature articles, advertising copy and how-to.
When she is not writing Heather enjoys playing tennis, traveling with her family, reading, cooking and baking and home interior design. All of her interests are reflected in the types of articles and stories she writes.
While at Harper College Heather was very active on the student newspaper, The Harbiner, as the Sports Editor. She was later promoted to the position of Managing Editor. During her time at Harper College she had taken several photographs, one of which is still hanging up in the president's office.
While at Illinois State University, Heather was an active member of the student newspaper, The Daily Vidette, where she worked as the assignment editor. She also worked on the school's television station as a graphics editor and technical director.
Heather is currently working on completing her BA degrees in both Journalism and Political Science. After which she plans to continue on to recieve her Master's degree, followed by her law degree.
Heather studied metaphysical and humanistic science where she learned more about life on Earth and how we have the abilities to manifest our own destiny. She specialized in paranormal science, including researching Ufology, Cryptozoology, and Parapsychology.
Heather has a passion for travel and has found a way to combine that passion with her love for writing. Travel articles she has covered include Florida, Walt Disney World, historical destinations, romance, family and Las Vegas travel. She has shared her love for cooking and baking through articles. Food related topics covered include recipes, recipe reviews and kitchen tips. Articles she has written include "How to Make a Vegetable Pizza," "Super Bowl Favorites," "Best Frozen Drinks for Kids" and "Easy Appetizers for Any Occasion."
Heather Leigh's craft writing experience include how to make holiday gifts, decor, kid's crafts, classroom crafts and jewelry. Articles that she has written include "Types of Beads," "How To Make Flowers Using Votive Candles," and different holiday-themed crafts for kids and classrooms.
Heather is currently writting her own blogs about travel to and from the Walt Disney World and Vero Beach areas. She focuses on travling with families and has recently started to blog about paranormal travel.
Other blog posts she has written have included how-to articles for home improvement, decorating, education and product reviews. More recently she has written several blog posts for a photography website, including information on how-to shoot, use lighting and backgrounds in a studio.
Heather has written many different types of articles for both online and print publications. She has been a writer since 1989 when she first started off at a local newspaper as a sports stringer. Article topics she has covered include local news items, sports, personality profiles and business reviews.
Heather worked as a copy writer for a local website, which offered clients advertising links and promotional advertising for their businesses. She was in charge of writing both long and short advertisment copy, as well as shoot photographs to complement the ad. She has also written product information copy for website product promotions.
