Emily completed coursework for a degree in exercise science and a minor in psychology. She worked as an athletic training student, treating injuries and traveling with collegiate athletic teams. She was also a member of Phi Epsilon Kappa, serving as co-special events chair, and Iota Tau Alpha, serving as vice president.
Emily studied kinesiology and recreation with a specialization in athletic training. While studying, she was also a graduate assistant, working as a certified athletic trainer for an area high school.
Emily has experience with the prevention, evaluation, and treatment of athletic injuries.
She has personally assisted athletes with severed phalanges, broken bones, concussions, and etc. She also has personal experience with performing CPR.
She is also familiar with post-operative treatment including wound care and physical therapy after orthopedic surgeries.
Emily has experience in creating exercise and rehabilitation programs for patients of all ages. She excels in working with a multitude of personalities and is great at anticipating the needs of others.
She has also created weight-loss regimens for herself and friends, with the ability to adjust on the fly if a certain exercise doesn't work or goal is not being met.
Emily has completed a few website content rewrites and creations for various clients. She is capable of taking current websites and improving their readability and flow as well as creating brand new content for a wide variety of subject types. She has expertise in medical and healthcare-related fields but is eager to expand her abilities into other fields.
