Suzi graduated with an associate’s degree in liberal arts.
Suzi received her master of arts degree in journalism from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, where she also worked as a graduate assistant and later taught magazine writing classes after graduation.

Suzi has covered politics since she was in high school in the 1980s. She has written hundreds of stories about national politics, especially Bill and Hillary Clinton, since she began her freelance career in 1997. She also has covered numerous presidential campaigns including George W. Bush, Al Gore, Wesley Clark, John McCain, Mike Huckabee, Donald Trump, Mitt Romney, Hillary Clinton, Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio. In 2008-12, she wrote extensively about Sarah Palin. Suzi has covered Bill Clinton more times than she can remember. In 1999, Suzi won a Society of Professional Journalists Award (California chapter) for her Salon.com investigative story about tainted Arkansas prison plasma, Bill Clinton and its connection to dying Canadians. More recently, she uncovered the Clintons' early ties to Jeffery Epstein much earlier than Bill Clinton admitted. That story appeared in The Daily Beast.
Since 2017, Suzi has written and edited copy about medical benefits and health and wellness for a major medical company based in Little Rock, Arkansas. She has extensive experience in medical copywriting on a wide range of topics (hypertension, diabetes, cancer, mental health). She has also researched pandemics and is available to write on the current coronavirus (COVID-19). She can also help business with coronavirus messaging and crisis communication plans.
Suzi currently writes about college finances for a website. She previously was Take Part's education writer from 2012 until 2014. She wrote education features and covered myriad topics including financial aid, education policy, school safety. She also has covered education for

Suzi is the author of the cult-classic "Sex in the South: Unbuckling The Bible Belt", which was published in 2003 by Justin Charles & Co. She spent several years researching and writing this non-fiction book about the secret sex lives of Southerners. Prior to the publication of this book, Suzi published essays about the topic.
