Ben has significant work experience in education, behavioral health, automotive, construction, food service, transportation, religion, business, management, and sales.
Ben is interested in music, timber frame architecture, history, automotive, technology, and the origin and purpose of humanity.
Ben achieved top marks and received his Mobile Electronics Certified Professional certificate. He went on to work full time as a mobile electronics professional before pursuing a college degree.
In this period of intense mental and spiritual growth, Ben deepened his love for History, nurtured his love of writing, and discovered the love of his life--his wife.
Ben received his Master's in Education, honing his ability to effectively communicate with adults and children alike.
Ben successfully wrote many educational lesson plans, both as a student and substitute teacher. These plans were required to be detailed and featured differentiated instruction for a variety of learning styles and special needs. They also needed to be written in terms universal enough to allow for a different teacher to use them (in case of sickness).
Ben has been involved in a variety of ministries. All work and experience was unpaid, which is fitting for this "industry." In college, he held a position on the leadership team of the campus ministry. He has also taught regular Bible studies, served in several praise/worship bands, and attended numerous conferences and seminars. His writing style expresses a camaraderie with his neighbors, while simultaneously encouraging and challenging them to seek the deeper truths of life.
Ben successfully launched, maintained, and concluded a fundraising campaign for the restoration of a classic car. This special effort was a "thank-you" for a member of our armed forces named Allen. It was organized through a secret Facebook group and utilized a well-known crowd funding site. The project began while Allen was deployed, and the finished product was unveiled upon his return. The successful campaign involved regular progress reports and repeated appeals for support.
