Lilly received her bachelor's degree from St. Lawrence University, a small liberal arts college in New York. Her fine arts major was a combination of studio art and art history. Her minor in Spanish taught her to be conversant in the language, which she has maintained since graduating. She took several writing courses during her time at SLU, both in Spanish and in English.
Lilly simultaneously worked towards her master's degree at night and taught during the day. She learned the fundamentals of teaching and many different pedagogies in the classroom, then applied this knowledge to her own students. She wrote extensive reports on the research she conducted both in and out of the classroom.
Lilly's proudest accomplishment is her daughter, Penny. Penny is an extremely rambunctious and opinionated toddler who takes up a great deal of her mother's patience and inspires many gray hairs. She also gives her mother fantastic material to write about. Lilly regularly contributes to a website devoted to motherhood called "Her View From Home." One of her pieces was recently published in February and was extremely well-received. Two more of her pieces are scheduled to be published in early April. For this website, Lilly writes about her religious faith and her ups and downs as a mother and wife. She maintains her own website that has many regular followers, where she reviews baby gear and laughs about the rollercoaster that is being a parent.
Lilly's religious faith is extremely important to her. She loves to use her writing to share with others about the miracles that she and her friends and family experience. She writes about how she incorporates faith into her parenting, and how she manages it with her husband and many friends who aren't spiritual. Her pieces are published regularly on a website called "Her View From Home."
For seven wonderful years, Lilly taught first and second grade. She left the classroom to write full-time while her daughter is young. During those seven years she learned a great deal about children and how they learn. She loves to share this information with fellow parents and educators.
While Lilly enjoys writing all types of content, the majority of her paid experience has been writing blog posts. She maintains her own blog, and guest posts for other websites. Her most recent published work was featured on "Her View From Home" in February. Due to the popularity of her first piece, two more will be published in early April.
