BA in English and Music from Wesleyan University.
Adam has provided writing and proofreading services to a regional PR and media firm, a plant-forward restaurant startup, and a twelve-member board of directors overseeing the purchase and refurbishment of a one hundred-year-old community movie theater. In addition, he spent 13 years marketing and selling for a Tony Award-winning theater company in Boston.
Adam was privileged to work with the advancement crew at Phillips Academy in Andover, Mass, creating appeals and stewardship for a variety of teams including Annual Giving, Donor Relations, Gift Planning, and the Office of Alumni Engagement. Prior to that, he worked with the incredibly dedicated folks at the Exeter Theater Company, spearheading their capital campaign to purchase, restore, and re-open the historic IOKA Theater in downtown Exeter. This effort required him to be a one-man communications firm, making sure the board stayed focused and on-message, keeping the press coverage positive, and energizing our volunteer base, all while dealing with a “client” (the theater’s owner) who was anything but transparent in his motivations and plans.
Adam's work on the web includes copy for a regional PR and media buying agency and blogs for a national content marketing firm. Topics include ransomware, plastic surgery, parent-teacher relations at a private secondary school, and best practices for effective media buying, advertising, and video production. He also advises clients on web photography and layout.
Adam has written articles for Andover magazine, the flagship publication of Phillips Academy in Andover, MA, including a comprehensive piece on the reimagining of the National Civil Rights Museum in Memphis, Tenn.
