Kari specializes in tax and accounting work and has penned over 250,000 words for tax software clients. She also writes passionately about politics on both sides of the aisle, parenting and real estate.
As a lifelong writer, Kari is always watching or listening while the wheels in her head spin. She loves staring out of windows and is lucky to have a view full of mountains, deer and horses.
Kari completed a BA at the Univ of MN, and her final thesis was a 100 page discussion of the Jordanian feminist movement that she wrote after her study abroad term in Jordan.
Kari worked in accounts receivables for years, mastering the language of finance and the art of persuasive arguments. During her six plus years of content writing, she has honed that knowledge and skill writing about payday loans, title loans, retirement planning, retirement savings accounts, mortgages, HELOC's, signature loans, day trading, personal finance, accounting and taxes.
Most recently, she worked closely with a content company to develop content to entice a new accounting client, and she penned over 150,000 words of expert on-site content for an accounting software company.
In six plus years of content writing, Kari has written over 7,000 blog posts. Some of them were on-site blogs for a range of large and small clients, while many others were off-site blogs to create inbound links for SEO. She's handled every aspect of the process from generating the idea, to writing the copy, to editing other writer's work.
With hundreds of articles successfully completed for clients, Kari knows how to pull a compelling story together. She has written articles analyzing everything from housing markets to political poll results, and she has worked extensively with clients who use online articles with a current events bent to brand their companies and/or promote their clients.
Kari has written nationwide press releases for many websites including SBWire and others, and she has also crafted PRs to be released to local news outlets. While writing these press releases, she was responsible for finding the angle to present as well as writing the article itself, gathering quotes and editing.
