Jim received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a dual major in Theatre & English. He received University Honors and graduated Magna cum Laude.
Jim achieved a Master of Arts degree in Educational Theatre from New York University.
Jim is currently finishing a doctorate at New York University. He has presented his research at national conferences in the field and published in academic journals.
Jim is an educator with a varying experience teaching students in levels from Kindergarten through graduate school. He has been a classroom teacher and a teaching artist providing both in-school and after-school arts and writing programs. With advanced study in education at the doctorate level, Jim has a solid understanding of pedagogy and teaching technique.
Jim has spent a life in the theatre and blogs about the historical and cultural significance of the performing arts.
Jim maintains a series of blogs designed to encourage young artists create work in the literary and performing arts, as well as the teachers and adults who support them. He also blogs about his personal experiences as a father, a casual nature lover, and baseball fan.
