Aldean took an intensive one-year course covering a wide range of Catholic theology in an ecumenical and international academic environment.
Aldean studied the full range of the internal legal system of the Catholic Church, and his degree qualifies him to work in a range of official positions within the Catholic Church as an expert in Canon Law.
After spending a significant portion of his life aimed at some sort of ministry, Aldean moves in a range of religious circles and writes reflectively of all different aspects of faith, religion, and spirituality. His writing in these areas has appeared in diocesan newspapers, websites, training and policy documents, and more.
Raised in the outdoors, Aldean grew up chasing after wildlife and falling into streams whenever he could. He has written about a wide range of outdoor activities, including hunting, camping, birding, bicycling, and more. Aldean brings the combined views of the conservationist and the sportsman into focus in much of his writing and communicates a fundamental enjoyment of, and respect for, nature on its own terms.
Aldean has nearly 30 years' experience in the live presentation of information, and has made the writing and delivery of presentations part of every stage of his career.
Aldean has been blogging in numerous venues for more than a decade, generating a mix of personal narrative, humor, product and media reviews, and even occasional political commentary. He has blogged in a variety of tones, from academic to familiar, but always with an authentic voice and a clarity of style.
