Majored in Journalism at the University of Michigan, obtaining her BA after an absence of 30+ years. Mary has had an article published by the MEA, which is about her experiences of working in public education for 20 years. She also writes and compiles a weekly newsletter for her school that is sent to parents and posted to the school's Facebook page, which she also manages. She has proofed psychological reports for a colleague whose native language is Spanish but her reports were written in English. She believes her love of writing began in 8th grade, when a class essay was used as an example of what not to write.
