Matthew was a pivotal voice in the preparedness of several health systems across the United States in the implementation of ICD-10 in 2015. Matthew worked closely with large and small provider groups, and accrediting organizations, to ensure teams were properly trained and prepared for the October 1 implementation date. This included developing course content and facilitating training classes for learners in a variety of roles (Medical Directors, Nurses, Coders, Coding Managers, HIM officers, and more).
In addition to his work as a training resource, Matthew wrote a book on the ICD-10 topic that was well-received and sold well across several distribution channels. His book held a spot on the Top 100 Paid books on Amazon for 9 weeks.
Matthew has completed more than 30 ghostwriting projects. These projects include fiction, non-fiction, memoirs, and reference materials. Aside from his own published work, Matthew worked with a client to draft content geared towards helping candidates sitting for the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) tests prepare for their examinations.
In addition to his own ICD-10 reference book and the CPA Prep Guide, Matthew worked with an author to develop and publish a series of fiction short stories based in a "fantasy world" created by the client. Matthew wrote 4 short stories in this "fantasy world" for the client. Each work was included in an anthology the author plans to publish in late 2016.
