Amanda assisted the editorial director in ideation and material for publication, specifically organizing and implementing creative strategy for cross-brand collaboration. As administrative coordinator, she was also responsible for authoring and providing editorial support for 30+ product descriptions, marketing copy, and other publications as needed. She provided regular, responsive, and comprehensive customer service feedback to 2000+ creative, logistical, and general inquiries while simultaneously effecting company-wide change management through planning, re-organization, transfer, and implementation of a new file-sharing platform.
As director of content development, Amanda conducted 350+ in-depth interviews with Fortune 1000 C-Suite executives to identify challenges and best practices and inform event agenda creation. She managed 12 events’ content from beginning to end, including in-depth regional research, content for 133+ individual sessions, development of onsite scripts and slides, and onsite speaker management and A/V operations. Project specific work included support of 2 high-profile speakers for multiple brands/events and executed monetary negotiations for their involvement with Evanta.
As part of the editorial team, Amanda produced monthly original articles, clips and synopses for Evanta365, Evanta’s private, online leadership forum and created concise and compelling copy, comprising speaker profiles, abstracts of presentations, conference guides, stage scripts, invitations and marketing materials.
As a part of both her work in event planning as well as publishing, well-structured emails were a regular part of Amanda's work. These emails included inquiries to high-profile executives and speakers as well as feedback to artists regarding their publication submissions. Many emails were created on a one-off basis; however, for responses that were more generic, Amanda created form letters and responses that could be altered to fit each individual need.
Working most recently at a start-up, Amanda is familiar with writing press releases to gain greater traction within the local and national community. Press release topics have included: opening up a local office, releasing a new book, announcing a new project and partnership. Her experience writing in this category extends to working across companies to ensure all necessary pieces of information are included.
Working as a freelance writer, Amanda has helped to create website copy for 2 different companies in 2 different industries. In one case, the website copy consisted of product descriptions for a furniture manufacturer. The other project consisted of copy for an organization specializing in online reputation management.
