The long-time writer and editor of The Utah Independent Living Center's Wasatch Scope, Shauna works to include all disabilities into the non-profit's newsletter while also making the regular outings and classes exciting and accessible.
Working with the startup Pageant Zine (now offline), Shauna provided over 33 articles and interviews with various musicians. Profiling much of Salt Lake's local scene, she covered the rise and fall of independent radio in the area, the creation of a local music festival that brought bands in for next to no cost to the fans, and also provided interviews with musicians such as Joey Barnes who was, at the time, with the pop-rock band Daughtry.
Worked for three years with the Utah Jazz (NBA) as a team-sanctioned blogger, covering the team and providing commentary and criticism. One article was linked to Yahoo!Sports Ball Don't Lie blog; all are now archived.

As a writer, Shauna works to maintain an online presence with her wordpress and tumblr blogs. Both have different aspects of her writing and her style. Some of her work has also been posted to other sites, many of which have similar interests to her own.
A long time activist in the LGBT community, Shauna took the reins at the 2015 Pride Festival and stepped forward to deliver a speech on the need for representation and understanding for people in the community who are not strictly "Gay" or "Lesbian."
