Ulf grew up in Växjö, Sweden. He moved to Lund to study in the mid eighties and chose to attend Förvaltningslinjen (bachelor's programme of Public Administration), since it could offer various social science profiles. Ulf came to the conclusion that he thought it was interesting with commercial law, so he chose this specialization.
Ulf got a job at Skånska Banken/Handelsbanken, where he worked with deposits and private counseling. The appointment lasted a year. After the bank he took the chance to take care of his interest in languages and politics by supplementing his B.Sc. to an M.A. with additional Political Science and English.
Ulf work since 1995 as a freelance translator and language reviser, especially with texts from the European Commission and the European Parliament. He has also translated documents for the European Central Bank and filled in as a substitute translator at Frankfurt a.M. for two weeks in August 1999. However, he’s also translated texts from various companies in the private sector over the years, with good result.
