A translator is the link between two or more languages, cultures, and contexts. It requires a mutual understanding of both languages' syntax, semantics, register, and style, in addition to an awareness of each languages' culture, education, and practices.
A lover of languages and the written word, Natalie finds great joy acting as that link. She utilizes her skills to deliver impeccable results to any individual or company with the desire to reach a larger audience and enter the global milieu.
Natalie began her professional journey acting as an intermediary and interpreter for newly settled francophone immigrants through a non-profit education center in her hometown of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States. After graduating with a double Bachelors in French Studies and Comparative Literature, she began her work as a Senegal Bank Parcelles representative and clientele liaison for Zidisha Microfinance Inc., providing support to francophone borrowers and global lenders. This experience brought her to Toulouse, France, where she began teaching English to high school and college students via the Center of International Pedagogical Studies and the French Ministry of Education. Following this mission, she began to work as a freelance language consultant, editing and amending business and academic texts in English. This led her to freelance translation, where she has worked in a plethora of fields and medias.
