Kayla believes that the best thing about content is it holds no bias. She understands that all industry content needs to be written about and edited which is why she loves this field so much. She truly enjoys having the opportunity to work with an eclectic array of businesses. She says it keeps her mind open, her heart growing, and her horizon expanded.
But, if she had to be specific, she really enjoys working with content in health and wellness, fitness, education, storytelling (fiction or non-fiction), travel, food and drink, and nature.
Before Kayla discovered her love for communications, she was an aspiring teacher. Although she has changed careers, she has learned so much from the coursework and employment in education.
Kayla loves communications! She decided to go into this field due to the plethora of opportunities in a field she believes to be very important in any industry.
Kayla's history in health care consists of about seven years. Throughout the years, she haa done many projects in marketing, email copy, training manuals, policy handbooks, and more.
Kayla has composed and edited several different types of material for medical companies over the course of seven years. From email copy and marketing content to training manuals and policy documents, she has been very involved in the process.
Kayla wrote, edited, and published roughly 30 blog posts for a storytelling series about real-life, teenage issues.
Kayla has been working in marketing since 2015 up until her last contract position. She has experience editing email copy, webpages, blog posts, pillar pages, and more.
Working in health care, Kayla specialized in insurance, thus had to write and edit several insurance policies for training and educational purposes.
During Kayla's contract position, she edited several web pages as well as came up with web content for CBD products.
Kayla has years of experience with Facebook posts, as well as Facebook Ad posting. Her skills come from personal use and marketing for a fictional, storytelling blog.
Most of Kayla's email marketing experience is from her previous job working in the LASIK industry. Being a LASIK eye surgery practice, there were a lot of competitors, so she was tasked with writing alluring and compelling marketing emails for current and prospective patients.
Kayla wrote and edited all of her articles through her internship. She did in-depth, research blog posts about products and services for clients.
She also wrote and edited approximately 30+ blog posts for a fictional, storytelling blog.
Most of Kayla's presentation experience comes from her college coursework, and although it wasn't professional, she took it very seriously and earned excellent grades. Having this experience truly taught her how to conduct successful and credible presentations.
Professionally, she also had to prepare and edit presentations for meetings throughout her tenure in health care.
At times, she would need to come up with data for the purposes of patient satisfaction improvement efforts while working in the health care industry.
