Cheryl has an Associate's Degree in paralegal studies, plus studied pre-law for her undergraduate degree. Over a span of 14 years, she worked for two firms. One of those firms handled family, bankruptcy, minor criminal and traffic offenses, personal injury, contract, and probate matters. The other attorney only handled family law matters.

After she left the second firm, the first attorney quit his firm and went out on his own. Cheryl was his sole paralegal from 2009 through his death in 2016.

Cheryl has written tens of thousands of articles, blogs, web pages, white papers, and other content for attorneys. She also wrote two ebooks: Florida Family Law Basics and Florida Family Law Discovery.
