Although he is comfortable with nearly all traditional mediums, the vast majority of his current freelance illustration work is created with Photoshop and/or Illustrator.
He usually starts on the drawing board with real pencils and paper for generating concepts and ideas. He then scans those into Photoshop to clean up and send to the client. After revisions, he always lets the client see a finished, tight pencil drawing before starting the finished piece. His work is pretty detailed so this approach keeps any unwanted surprises for happening upon delivery of the final art!
Phill has designed and illustrated businesses logos for clients of many types.
