Mark has been a 2D and 3D design professional in events and exhibits for over 30 years. His education is in graphic design and he started my career in 3D immediately upon graduation. He has extensive experience in hand rendering as well as digital rendering. For over the past decade his focus has been on managing design teams and design projects which he hopes to transition over to hybrid live engagement/virtual experience design or pivot toward a different creative industry. His key strength is in his ability to combine creative and practical management to produce optimal outcomes.
Mark's career has been crossing over from interpretive design and sales/marketing design into entertainment since his work with a live stage production company in the late 1990's. Since entering the live events industry 20 years ago, many of his projects have been in corporate theater enabling him to call upon the skills that he learned designing stage sets for music acts and sales promotion.
Mark has been supporting sales/marketing with his designs since the beginning of his career. Working with exhibit fabricators for the first decade of his experience, he specialized in trade show booths which carried over to his later tenure in live events. Mark is savvy with branding and promotional graphics as applied to 3D structures and convention center interiors/exteriors. He understands the principles of marketing through his industry which carries over directly to content development for digital media.
Mark has specialized in digital illustration for over the past 20 years. These have been applied to the live events and expositions industry during this time, but can also easily pivot toward virtual applications as a powerful visualization tool. Mark is also experienced in animation rendering and video presentation editing.
Mark has been doing hand drawn illustrations since he was in college. Although digital has taken precedence over the past 20 years, Mark has tried to find ways to integrate this skill into his work during this time. Hand sketching is an important tool for concept development, and his projects often start using this method.
