What’s your day job super power?
My lightning-fast ability to come up with reasons to procrastinate!
Best advice you’ve ever received?
When I worked in construction, one of the guys told me that learning something new is what makes it worthwhile to get out of bed each morning.
Favorite hat?
I don’t like hats! But sometimes I’ll wear a bandanna to keep crud out of my hair while I’m renovating or working outside.
If there was a movie based on your life, what actor/actress would play you?
Maria Bamford! My life would be a cartoon, and she’s a great voice actor.
What would the title of the movie be?
The Most Boring Movie Ever (It would be two hours of me shooing the cat, drinking coffee and grumbling about deadlines)
Favorite thing about WA?
The welcoming, supportive community and staff!
Favorite writer, dead or alive?
George R. R. Martin. He’s also my least favorite author. Finish the books already!
What’s your guilty pleasure?
Sneaking off to fish in the river out back when I should be writing.
Favorite breakfast food?
Poached egg on toast.
Little known fact about you?
I’m a pretty good photographer! I’ve won several awards around the state of Ohio, but it never comes up because there isn’t a lot of demand for content related to photography.
What can’t you live without?
Someplace to go fishing!

Never stop learning!
