What inspires your brand? Show off your unique taste to your audience by publishing posts about what moves you as a company; you will not only inspire them, but you will prove authoritative business sense as you do. By opening your audience up to your process, they can be a part of your product and your success.

Hire Blog Writers and Avoid the Same Old Story

Don’t get trapped in the continual circle of corporate blogging. Writing about your company achievements, products and news gets old very fast for your audience. Instead, look for new ways to publish content that your readers will feel moved by and be motivated to share with their friends.

Highlighting Inspirational Companies

Start by considering companies that have encouraged you in your business practices. Of course, it wouldn’t make business sense to point to your competitors (and, more than likely they don’t actually inspire you), but it does make sense to point to companies that cover areas where you don’t. Companies that lead the way with unique style, eco-friendly efforts or straightforward solutions can also inspire your audience. Consider highlighting a company from time-to-time on your corporate blog that your audience will also find of interest.

Drawing From Other Platforms

You don’t have to do all the work, either! Consider pulling from one type of material into another: pulling from print media for your social page or posting an article that touches on a Tweet you found moving.

Papyrus (an international paper company) recently posted a picture of their hot red leather jacket card atop a recent Vogue magazine featuring Rihanna on the cover. This shows their love of fashion and style – it places their leather jacket card on top of something that not only inspires them, but will inspire the audience they market to.

Anything from a favorite vase to the Nantahala National Forest can serve as inspiration for a company. Provide luscious pictures and write a blurb or two about why that source of inspiration affects what you do in a positive way.

A Bit of My Own

It really wouldn’t be fair to finish this article without saying a bit about my own sources of inspiration! I find that one of the most motivating experiences to-date comes every Spring with the fresh and warming air. Something about the birds singing away madly every sunrise is simply amazing.

As far as companies go, I have found my most recent inspiration in Natural Force. They offer workout training supplements and their branding appeals to those seeking the natural ingredients in their mixes. I first saw their advertising in a WOD magazine (for CrossFit) and found their dedication to high-quality, natural ingredients inspiring. Their branding is genius – clean flat design and chalk-full of gorgeous photos. Their copy is written in a simple and straightforward manner that connects with their readers.
