BOSTON, April 10, 2018—WriterAccess is pleased to announce WriterAccess 5.0 (WA 5.0), a significant upgrade to their cloud-based content creator marketplace, which connects 25,000+ customers with 15,000 US-based freelance writers, editors, proofreaders, content managers, content strategists and translators.
“Over the last eight years, we’ve worked with thousands of customers who provided us with the feedback and encouragement to keep investing in the platform, making it better and better with solutions designed around their needs,” noted Byron White, founder of WriterAccess. “WriterAccess 5.0 is our latest and best release of our software solution, offering new features, robust tools and bonus educational resources customers need to grow their business organically—the content marketing way.”
WA 5.0 is the latest update to the industry-leading platform, and includes a migration to a software as a service model (SaaS), a simplified sign-up process, several new software tools, a bevy of content marketing education resources and new premium services available to enterprise customers. Below are details of all the new changes.
The Migration to Software as a Service (SaaS)
In the fall of 2017 WriterAccess put the power of its position in the marketplace to the test by charging a monthly subscription fee to access talent and the upgraded platform. “To be honest, when we first launched the paid gateway we were uncertain about how customers would react and be willing to pay for the service,” noted Byron. “We quickly learned that these new modest fees, backed with a delight guarantee, were easily accepted by customers looking for quality content and a best-in-class solution.”
Simplified Sign Up Process
“The migration to SaaS required simplification of the business model, and development of a clear value proposition crisply displayed through the customer’s journey. To achieve this goal, we brought in UX and creative consultants to redesign and re-message the process, especially the Pricing Summary and Platform Details pages,” according to founder Byron White.
WA 5.0 Software: Innovation and Disruption
With content customers hyper-focused on finding the best talent for projects quickly, WriterAccess launched several new WA 5.0 features to make the matchmaking process faster and better.
- Casting Calls were upgraded to a stand-alone search tool, allowing customers to post a project quickly, and select qualified applicants within a few hours. For frugal customers looking for high quality at low prices a new hack has been added to
- Advanced Search to find new writers that have not yet earned the “exceed expectations” ratings required to validate performance and earn higher per word pay rates.
- The Writing Style Contest lets customers launch one order to three different hand-selected writers, creating competition to earn future business.
Best of all, WriterAccess introduced a revolutionary new product that could disrupt the industry called the StyleMetrics Matcher. It analyzes sample text using a special algorithm that builds a profile of the author and their major five writing style metric characteristics. These are then matched to WriterAccess writers who have similar writing profiles, putting together an ideal match.
WA 5.0 Tools: The GPS for Content Marketing
WA 5.0 includes a new My Tools section offering ten next-gen tools for strategic planning, content analytics, keyword analytics and performance measurement. Proprietary tools developed by WriterAccess include a Customer Journey Mapper, Buyer Persona Builder, Creative Brief Builder and Content Planner. Other tools are the result of integrations with third party providers, including Google Analytics, Bit.ly, SpyFu, WordPress, HubSpot and more.
WA 5.0 Education: Growth Hub for Customers
WA 5.0 also features a vault of resources in a special Growth Hub for content marketers, content strategists and digital agencies. The Hub features a library packed with content plans, proposals, podcasts, widgets, webinars and 45 videos sessions from WriterAccess’ annual Content Marketing Conference.
The hub also features an online Content Strategy Master Class, developed by founder Byron White, based on his book Content Strategy Game Plan, which underpins all the methodologies in the My Tools section, including tools for content planning, creation, optimization, distribution and performance management.
New Premium Services: Support On-Demand
Some customers are short on time but need big performance, for them WA 5.0 offers two new Premium Service programs. The Setup Program delivers quick training and support with a low fixed rate fee. The Pre-Pay Program offers setup and ongoing “spend it wisely” support for customers that make “pre-pay” deposits for future content purchases. The more customers “pre-pay” for content, the more services like proofreading and reporting they receive at no charge.
